RNAVAL - Infrastructure - Overview
RNAVAL has developed an Integrated shipbuilding , Ship / Rig Repair & Conversion , Ship production and Offshore construction & Heavy Engineering facility at the Port of Reliance , Gujarat . This manufacturing facility has a highly modern fabrication , piping , painting shops of 12000 tons per month capacity , together with the largest Drydock in the country of , 662 m X 65 m size with 2 X 600 ton SWL Goliath Cranes.
High & Quality Blasting and Painting capabilities through dehumidification of compartments . The only shipyard in India to build large bulk carriers with PSPC compliance .
The dry dock and surrounding facilities are located on 104 hectares (257 acres) of land adjoined by a dedicated waterfront. The dry dock site has been approved as an Export Oriented Unit (EOU).
Adjacent to the dry dock is a pre-erection berth 980 meters long and 40 meters wide that is fully reinforced to enable mega blocks to be assembled on the land berth before being lowered into the dry dock.
To facilitate afloat fit-out and commissioning of ships, including afloat repairs, a 300 meter long, dual berthing quay has been constructed with adequate draft and serviced by a Level Luffing crane.

State-of-the-art Ship Repair Facility
RNAVAL ship repair facility is based on one of the largest dry docks (662m X 65m) in the world, of which 295 meters is dedicated towards ship repair. Supporting the repair activities are an outfitting jetty equipped with the most modern repair facilities, a large scale steel fabrication yard with a capacity of 12,000 MT per day, a modern pipe shop with a capacity of 3,050 inch diameter per day, and a very efficient, experienced and capable team.
